Finally going back to school... after 5 long years. Signed up to study for a part-time diploma in business administration @ psb academy. I was really nervous as I had to face a whole new environment and group of people again. Not to mention the stress of juggling work and studies at the same time. I know the road ahead is going to be very tough for me to handle, but the support from family & friends is sufficient to keep me going.

But seeing the very first module just freaks me out. Back in secondary school days, maths was the subject that I did not do well in it. And now, I have to endure the quantitative skills as my first lesson when it starts this coming tuesday. Hope that I can reach the school on time also (mad rush definitely).

Seriously, I have no problem joking around with friends. However, one should know the limits. If you think that the teasing incident only and will happen in those primary/secondary school days then you are so damn wrong.

I hate to repeat myself. And it really piss me off if I had to do that. I bet you don't even know you have already offended me. I am so freaking sick of your constant teasing, and even though it seemed harmless but still, you ought to STOP.

You yourself may think that it is perfectly fine, but your actions really drive me up to the wall. It's totally not worth getting all so worked up, but who can get past all these when it happen several times in one occasion and almost everyday?

Obviously, any human being WITH a brain should be able to sense when that person had outgrown your nonsense. I said to myself, a severe breakdown is the last thing I want it to happen. I am not upset, but really angry over what you did. SO SICK AND TIRED. F***. I had enough.

Know your limits, dude. Before I do some serious damage...

yeah yeah... my birthday is finally coming~~ hehe :D

already took leave on monday, as i don't like the idea of celebrating on the actual day and knowing that i have to go back to work (zz) the next day. so i can have a long weekend ahead~ wheeee!!!

anyway, i planned to have a cake-cutting session in advance with my company on this thursday. after which we will be heading for my birthday dinner. yes~~ i can get to drink again!!! but don't get me wrong, i'm definitely not a drunkard / alcoholic. whenever there is a company dinner or simply just a get-together with my japanese / other colleagues, i will tend to drink a little more than usual. only once do i get DEAD drunk though. sigh. i guess i'm drowning my sorrows :(

perhaps after the dinner we will have a game or two of bowling, one of my favorite game :)

just don't feel like going home that early, want to enjoy myself to the fullest~ after all, we do not need to work on the next day.

alright, got the news that he is leaving by the end of september. so that is like... about 1 and a half month more to go :( naturally i'm very upset by the message. i know nothing will come out of this relationship. i guess i will miss him... alot when he leaves.

nevertheless, i planned to fly over to KL next month during the long weekend. since i have never been there before, so just treat it as a vacation. secondly, to visit him for one last time.

this is definitely not a last minute decision. i just do not wish to have any regret when he is not here. i have been doing alot of thinking lately, and i realized that i wanted to tell him my feelings once and for all.

will things change after he goes back? i can't forget, and i don't want to... even if this is all it's left from the memory of you & me.

哇，整个七月份我都没有update我的部落格。

这一个月下来，我似乎每天都不开心。。。我以泪洗脸。

他只会待在吉隆坡到下个月底。之后，应该就会回去日本。此刻的心情，真的很伤心。我无法想象，如果他真的会在回去之前来新加坡一趟。。。我会有怎样的反应。

today, i almost cried on the mrt. sounds weird, wasn't it? just as what i have said earlier, everytime i close my eyes, the thought of him leaving flashes through my mind.

it was really hard for me to accept the fact that he may never come back to singapore.

finally went for the dinner "date" with my jap colleagues at illuma on friday night. yup, we had japanese food... and i tried their sake!! the taste was quite nice, but not too strong. so i ended up drinking 4-5 cups plus a glass of red wine. hehe.

then my male jap colleague told me that "he" was going to work till the month of november... before resigning. the reason being was that he had to go back to japan to take care of his ill-stricken father, who was battling with cancer. sigh.

at this point of time, deep down in my heart i could only wished silently that he can take good care of himself & stay strong.

regardless of whether i (still) have feelings for him or not...

he will always have a place in my heart...

just completed a social interview on facebook. the question is about asking me to describe my perfect date. below is my answer:

he could give me flowers upon meeting up, and then we will catch a movie together. after which we will go for lunch, and window shopping. along the way, we can stop by for some dessert (if by then his stomach can still take it! haha). perhaps we would end the date by having a walk along the beach, or a trip down to the singapore flyer :)

to me, it sounded simple enough. certain (little) gestures could make me feel contented already. hopefully one day, it will happen~ :D

嗨！

这是我第一次用华文来写我的博客。我的华文程度是属于有限公司的 =P

近日来，我发现工作量好像越来越多了。我不是在埋怨，可是每当我回到家时都只想躺在床睡觉。到了周末，也只是想呆在家里，哪都不想去。

还有，“他”似乎每两天都来作弄我。别人看到，还以为“他”真是我的男朋友。真可笑哦。。。问题是，“他”好像也不懂我喜欢的是别人。我知道这是同事之间的玩笑，可是“他”的行为弄到我很不好意思。

我的“白马王子”也没有跟我表白。这是不是意味着，要我放弃呢？

我很迫不及待地想拿一个礼拜的假期~想做什么就做什么。又可以晚睡晚起来。呵呵。。。

很期待明天的到来。因为想看切尔西是否能夺冠。希望他们能打败威根，再超越曼联，那就皆大欢喜~

monday. i was enjoying my macdonald meal, when i realized that upon finishing my throat was feeling uncomfortable. and around evening time, i had difficulty trying to swallow the water. oh god. i knew it was yet another case of throat infection. kill me please~ when things like this happen, i knew that i had to abstain from all the spicy & fried food. that was... a torture for me.

tuesday. the infection got worse when i kept on coughing non-stop. my voice totally changed, and i somehow lost appetite. almost every food i ate seemed so tasteless to me. sigh~ also, out of the blue i had a fever and my head felt like it was going to burst any minute. had this freaking headache that was going on and off. for that whole day, i ate only porridge.

wednesday. still wasn't feeling well, so i took another day of mc to rest, after my 2 days' leave. returned to work the next day and my coughing still persist, as though my internal organs are about to come out.

today, i am still experiencing that sore throat and slight flu. sigh~

got to take that one medicine which makes me want to puke :(

and most of the others cause drowsiness as well.

finally get to redeem my 2 movie passes on the last day. went to watch true legend with lihui @ bugis' shaw cinema. my goodness, the air-conditioning was damn cold :( shall bring along a jacket the next time i catch a film here. i would give the movie a 4/5 rating, though i may find the flick a little way too over violent. still, some inconsiderate arses have to talk so loudly that the sound effects couldn't cover the noises. tsk.

then we went over to vivo. shopped around @ candy empire and saw this pack of warheads sour candy. it was in the form of pastilles. but not all flavors are sour enough for me :(

after which we headed over to page one, and looked around the bookstore. and... lihui saw this very cute & pretty TWEETY note pad which i bought immediately after i spotted it also. hehe :P

and i finally carried the marc jacobs bag which i bought from my company for today's outing with lihui... :D

the weather was freaking hot these days. sigh. poor me. practically was sweating while having my lunch. it was much more worse in the office. don't know why some people prefer to TURN IT OFF. for heaven's sake, wear a jacket or sweater. or the least you can do is just switch to a higher temperature. but no, instead some people went to adjust it to over 27 degrees. obviously, certain people don't know how warm that is. and also it defeats the purpose of servicing the air-conditioner.

got so bored that i started to play the games in fb again. visit my tanks in fishville now, alright? :P better yet, become my neighbor so that we can exchange more gifts. hehe.

alrighty, got my leave approved by boss. which means, i can enjoy my 11-days break starting from 25 feb and till mar 7. woohoo ~ get to sleep & wake up late :) can get my mind off from work.. at least slightly more than a week :D that's more than enough.

don't mind doing certain things alone. BUT.. i would never ever catch a horror movie on my own again. *sigh* however though, just in time to do some window shopping as well, since the day my break starts is also my payday!! hehe ~ shall reward myself with a nice meal @ a nearby shopping mall.

currently still waiting for the 2012 dvd ~ can't wait to buy man. one of the best movies i have watched so far. don't mind paying a little more for the picture quality though.

shall check it out again tomorrow, hope it is out by then :) plan to go grocery shopping with dad to buy the ingredients for steamboat which we are going to have on the new year's eve. heh :P yum yum ~ like to have lots of food lay out on the table & with my favorite dipping sauce - sambal belachan. get to open up the 2 cans of abalone which i won at the company dinner last month. *drools* shall create a shopping list in case i miss out on buying some items... *thinking*

since there is no v-day celebrations, shall grab a few friends to catch a movie & have another round of meet-up session! :D

met up with lihui & sohni on wed at ps. got the urge to spend (see!! both of you, this is what happens while waiting for you two ~) suddenly, so i went to the sasa shop & bought some facial masks :)

recently been indulging myself with various masks. plus i've been using SK-II essence for 2 months. wonder if my skin does have some changes or not?? shall ask my colleagues for the answer. hehe :P

and my dear lihui actually said it's good for her, as teachers will then be able to have an increment in their salary. LOL. (read: boost the economy).

recently bought a BB cream from my workplace. been trying out for 2 days already. hope it helps in the oil control area & improve my skin condition :D

alrighty ~ shall stop here. plan to watch "My Ex" tmr before the screening ends ~ heard that it is a good movie, complete with great sounds effects.

had my company dinner at orchard parade hotel last night. really had a fun time with my colleagues as well. everyone was literally... CRAZY ~~

even before the dinner started, i was anxiously looking for the presence of red wine. lol. apparently, my boss had not arrived yet, so all we could drink first was chinese tea & fruit juices. i was almost into my 3rd glass when the second course is being served. i guess i drank too fast... and in the end, i could only hang onto the 5th course because i was half-full from drinking. as for the rest, i could only took some small bites and eventually skipped the dessert.

started to get a little high, but I WASN'T DRUNK. i still know what i was doing. one of my colleagues even tested to see if i am sober-minded or not. zz.

in total, i drank 6 glasses of red wine, 2 cups of chinese tea, 2 long glass beverage (don't know the name of it) & one orange juice. and... yes, i vomited in the end. BUT, the staff took away my wine glass (even though i did tell her that she can come back shortly to pour the wine 'cos i needed a little break first) and never returned it :(

after finishing the dinner, we went on to play the bingo game. it was quite fun actually, when most of us got really excited to get a strike. just once and we could pick a number that determines our prize. i got 2 cans of abalone after that :D

SIGH. going back to work tomorrow :( kinda miss the holidays ~~ get to sleep & wake up late. i wished it was much more longer :P (kinda make me even more lazy though). i guess i had to wait for "quite some time" before i get to enjoy the next public holiday. quite interesting to know that valentine's day falls on the same day as cny. felt that the occasion was not the same... a few years ago. supposed to be a happy event. but... i pretty much hoped to avoid certain people, for fear of facing the same questions which they always asked, and the facial expressions. planned to take another week's of leave, maybe when i'm close to clearing the annual days-off.

currently i'm into tom & jerry cartoons. bought quite a number of them. watching it just brightens up my mood... somehow. though the quantity is catching up on my tweety/looney tunes collection :P

i do not know why, suddenly i have got the urge to keep buying cosmetics. 2 perfumes, lotion, treatment essence, cleansing mask, 2 body lotions & moisturizers, etc.

went to the salon today to re-color my hair. chatted with the staff & we were talking about alvin & the chipmunks 2. they were soooo cute. watched the first part on cable previously. planning to catch the sequel tomorrow.

damn bored now. resorted to playing downloaded games from the various websites. maybe i should start watching my reality show dvds :D

a brand new year. a brand new post.

went to watch the treasure hunter earlier on with my colleagues at the cathay. okay, it was one damn boring movie. the storyline was way too draggy, no climax, and the actor/actress' dialogue was so out-of-place. in the end, after watching the film i have absolutely no idea what the treasure was. there was only a little (yes, indeed) action about 30 minutes before the movie ends. oh yes, it was also the FIRST movie that i sat through, and started to fall asleep within the first hour it was showing.

but before that, saw the confucius trailer starring chow yun-fatt. planning to catch that as well.

my hair color is fading... need to have a re-do at the salon tomorrow ~

Went to 2 places today. First stop was at Leisure Park Kallang. As it was just around 12pm, there wasn't any crowd at the bowling center. We played 2 games in total. Dad won at the first one (by more than 10 points plus) while I won at the second. And my "cute" dad was feeling VERY SORE about it. The fact that I only won by TWO POINTS. zz. lol. But *sigh*... no strikes for the day. Only spares :( And my dad was sitting there, showing off saying that he got quite a number, as compared to NONE from me. So HL lor. I started boo-ing him, and distracting with all I can... not letting the freaking ball to hit the pins. I was successful on some occasions though :P

Then we went to Heartland Mall. Dad knew I wanted to go to This Fashion, but sadly the new arrivals doesn't sound appealing to me. So I went to Hang Ten instead. Saw some great offers, and immediately took some clothings to the fitting room. In the end, I bought over $60 worth of tees. And signed up as a member on the spot :) Collecting more discount cards, as they might come in handy in the future. Great for buying clothes where you can also pay less for it. How nice ~~

Bought the Phobia 2 & Journey To The Center Of Earth vcds as well. Asked dad to watch the Phobia 2 first, but he said the effect would be better if we watched AT NIGHT instead -__-". Shouldn't have bought that. Kept on screaming during some scenes. Gonna have a heart attack soon.

And I really ate ALOT today. Sigh. I can "sense" that my stomach is causing a stir...

Right now I'm looking for a nice & simple-looking formal dress.

Now catching the liverpool vs arsenal game on chn 27. Tomorrow i'm all alone at home. Planned to go rivervale plaza to rent some vcds first, and over to hougang mall for some window-shopping. May go to junction 8 for some x'mas shopping as well. If everything goes well, I will just buy the paper to gift-wrap the presents :))

Okay, I'm back. heh :P blogging while watching the BPL matches on tv right now. More anxious about the match between Chelsea & Everton though.

Meeting my colleagues at orchard tomorrow (sigh... not quite used to going there) again. But this time, to catch another colleague in action for the singing competition. Hope she wins in the final :) At 5pm, I think the crowd is even more... ferocious. Sms-ed to my bro today, still hesitating whether or not to meet him and sis. Told him that the people were walking so freaking slowly, and I got the urge to kick their ass, telling them to WALK FASTER LAH. And he replied saying that if I really walked very fast, I may get high blood pressure. Is it true? Hmm. Wanted to reply him that, I don't need to wait till that moment actually. I can get HBP anytime, due to the fact that I get agitated easily over the slightest issue.

And so, I told my dad about it. He said that I should go and meet my siblings. You know why? So that he can mop/vacuum the floor WITH PEACE while listening to music. 'Cos he says everytime when we're at home, we will keep on walking up and down, which makes the floor dirty again (read: getting in his way). I was like, "how can u say that"? But what a "cute" dad I have. And sometimes he even "blamed" me for not reminding him about certain things. lol. When I also forget, I will retaliate by saying that I inherited his genes. heh ~

Felt that today passed by very, very slowly. Can't wait to get to my one week's leave starting from Monday onwards. Finally can get some ample rest at home. Never tried applying for one whole week before. The feeling was nice, imagine able to wake up late and planning things to do. Especially Sunday, which I can stay up late to watch late night soccer matches :P

Bonus not arriving till the month end :( Sad ah. Have to plan the budget... for my first X'mas gift shopping. heh. Since I have the time, I shall "hop" over to various shopping malls to see if there is any suitable presents which I can buy. hehe.

just caught the finale episode of antm cycle 13. boy, that was really a interesting runway. some of the eliminated girls came back to join in the walk. when i first watched nicole strut her way down the runway, i felt a little weird. she was bringing her shoulder back and forth, unlike those amateur models from the previous cycles. nevertheless, tyra declared her as the first ever america's petite model. thought laura was more natural in her walk, and a sense of secretive when she was trying to get out from the scarf during the element of wind section. a very sweet and innocent small town girl. below are the winner's photos from the past photo shoots:

the workload is getting alot... heavier. less office conflicts, but more pressure coming. how to work under the watchful eye of hers? you can tell, she's different from the past. last time; easy-going. now, i don't think she will care about the feelings of the other people. right now, i tried not to have anymore eye contact with her. do what is within my job scope & get my pay at the end of the month, that's all. simple enough. count myself lucky that i do not need to bond with her.

i am looking forward to the bonus (if there's any). before this, i am also... contemplating to resign? can feel that for one, she's getting hard to be with. second, creating problems out of the current issues.

first day of a new month. let me see... what should i blog about??

okay. soccer first. i do hope chelsea can continue to maintain their current form. like what the experts say, things could change during/after the boxing day. and i definitely would not want to see the "arch-rival" go on top of the table AGAIN. during the last few seasons, it had always been the same "big four" teams that is hogging the first few positions. will this season be the same still? tottenham, aston villa or manchester city to break into the big four? and become the so-called big six? names aren't that important actually. it's been quite some time since chelsea had won the league title. i really hope that this season they could win it, and carlos ancelotti will have his first piece of silverware added upon his appointment of manager for the club.

nowadays, i still see some freaking a**** doing real s***** stuff. if you want to be those attention-seekers, please go to the disco or pub and do some pole-dancing. you don't own the place, so please stop making those f****** noises.

supposed to end on tuesday. but boss came over in the afternoon and informed us that he was going to extend it till tomorrow. that's one whole week man. i guess he did not think about the manpower and the kind of weather which we were facing. it was really freaking hot. seriously, i was sweating like nobody's business. so every night after i went home, i had to do a full body scrub (if not the pores will all be clogged up and more zits will appear). freaking tired. once i saw the bed, i will lie down and fell asleep immediately.

hope to end early tomorrow. thank goodness it was not held at ntu. heard that the place is much more further than nus.

went out twice with dad today. bought loads of stuff. he bought prawn noodles (from potong pasir) for breakfast. then we head out to kallang pudding road for the mustafa sale. dad said, "eh, got chocolates leh. you want to buy?" heh. a very sinful treat man. but since he suggested, i went over to the rack where they sold KITKATS instead :D by the time we finished exploring, the wheelcart was filled to the brim. lol. that was PART ONE. around 3plus in the afternoon, we went out again to hougang green and festival market. he bought a new dvd player (wheee ~) and lots of FOOD. going to take some time to polish all off. hehe.

planned to take a lunchbox to work tomorrow. crabmeat and ham sandwich with lettuce. yummy ~~

finally took 2 days' leave. going to mum's working place there to have lunch, and treating dad at the same time on wednesday. and i can go catch a movie and shopping on thursday :)

international break during the weekend. frankly speaking, i was more interested to catch the live action of the english premier league.

since the price plan has been announced by singtel, my dad & i had been contemplating as to whether we should get another set-up box or not. feel like it's worth it, but 2 set-up boxes seems a little troublesome.

okay, here's the thing. i totally hate it when i'm talking nicely to the person, and he/she gave me that kind of i-don't-give-a-damn attitude (read: bo chap). it really pissed me off when someone does that. don't freaking come crying for help later when you don't even want to listen in the first place. i'm really, really annoyed with YOU. this is something that i cannot stand, and will never change.

the 3 hours sale is killing me. everyone were rushing like mad. orders came in like there's no tomorrow. told my colleagues that i had a little "cha-cha" dance going on. lol. hope it does help in increasing the sales by (much, much more). been taking the products from afternoon till i almost knocked off from work. time sure passed by very fast. been accumulating the leave as well, but got the urge to take... just want to have a good rest at home. no disturbance.

been waiting for so long, and finally a couple of horror films are going to screen soon. but the darah trailer seems to be interesting, and gross enough for me to watch. heh. perhaps after that i could watch soronity row.

becoming more like a couch potato now. way too lazy to go out. unless something interests me, and looked real tempting. hehe.

a random post/thought.

just caught one of the specials that the CNA is screening on tv. it was showing in 2 parts - one couple (wife aged 48 & husband, 28) and the other (wife aged 38 and husband, 26). They talked about how friends & families are coping with the fact that their other half is much more older than them. Thinking about the upcoming obstacles that they have to overcome, and the kind of look which they were going to get from the public.

but as the saying goes, "love can conquer all". maybe it's true. you wouldn't mind about the huge age gap, should you really get to meet the man/woman of your dreams. Sometimes, it doesn't take long for him/her to realize that the person beside them is THE ONE. so, how do one go about doing it? i wonder.

sadly, things don't happen according to how i expected it to be. ok, to the extent of me expressing the above thoughts, it means that i'm starting to... hate you. at some point of time, i had to force myself to still... smile at you.

things like these don't happen overnight. i guess you won't understand it also. better still, in this way.

Went to the Laguna National Country Club for the company dinner on thur. Celebrated my birthday in advance together as well. Really had a good time as we joked & laughed while enjoying the wine. Drank four times in total. Was still drinking the red wine for the 3rd time, then my colleague came over with the white one instead & i asked for a top-up (mixed). Moments later, i vomited on my way to the washroom. So the conclusion was, i couldn't drink but once i see there's wine around, i would want to drink (just that it will not be a mixed one the next time round).

I was chatting with my other colleagues, when my boss came over & passed me the phone. I was puzzled as to why he did that until he told me that rui was on the line. Was a little surprised, as I never thought that my boss will call him up for me & let him wish me a happy birthday. Went outside to have a talk with him, then my colleagues all teased me when i'm on my way out. Feeling quite shy la, of course. Poor thing, at that time (about 9plus at night) he told me he was still in the office & was feeling a little tired :( also told me that he won't be coming back to singapore any time soon :( then i asked him to have a good rest, and thanked him for wishing me happy birthday twice :D from then on, i was smiling all the way. hehe.

okay, so now the whole company knows i liked the japanese guy. i gave a not-so-clear thank-you speech after that, just before going home. I was a little drunk actually, and my head started to spin. My boss reserved the last glass of wine for me. It was half-filled, and i drank all at one go. He just went over with the bottle & glass and chose some people randomly to drink.

When we were on the way to get the cars, my boss & another jap colleague asked me, "so, what did rui tell you?" And i told them about the conversation we had awhile ago. Then my boss said, "he never say i love you?" Oh my. Very embarrassing leh. Quickly divert the topic.

Had a really, really fun time with them. And I felt exceptionally happy when he called :))

hais. seems that i can't escape from the so-called "three-month curse". My third relationship, and for the second time it can't go beyond the three months. really don't know what went wrong. suddenly, he lost all contact with me. send numerous emails & messages, but to no avail.

yes, i was too naive to believe that the promises which he made to me will eventually come true. what he said to me, was basically a pack of lies.

i once asked him, "why do i still like you despite you making me so upset every now and then?" and his reply was, "because you believed that i can bring you happiness."

unfortunately, it doesn't happen at all. i was really heartbroken. you promised to help me gain confidence, since my last relationship. you promised to give me the kind of security which i need. but now, nothing has been done. instead, you hurt me even more. you rubbed salt into the wound.

whenever there's a place that require good service, i wasn't sure if that includes hiring people from asia countries. sorry i didn't mean to discriminate or anything here, but i think maybe there's a language barrier that makes it diffcult to communicate between the staff & customer.

went to cp's macdonald to buy my favorite mcspicy meal, and was being served by this chinese national female staff. at first i ordered the usual, then she gave me the change back after i handed her a $50 note. within seconds i looked at the ad again, and decided to switch to upsize (to get the seaweed shaker fries), though i didn't in the first place. i understand AND will gladly stick to my original order, if you were already in the process of preparing. however it was YOUR ATTITUDE that irked me the most. in this service line, i don't expect a VERY RUDE reply from you... when i did not speak in a loud tone in the first place. this was what you said:

me: excuse me, may i switch to the upsize one?

female staff: i thought you say you don't want to upsize? (translated from how she spoke in mandarin)

my goodness. so this was how you treat the customers. a small matter you guys may think, but when she kept re-confirming with me (if i still want to upsize), i did not even bother to look at her... and just kept on shaking my head.

with this kind of service, who needs it? do some reflection man.

what a day. when we're on our way to the destination, there was a car accident and we got stuck for like... almost 20mins. in 10mins, there seemed to be no change in the line... between both lanes. for once, i thought we were going to be late for the event.

it was touching to watch when my brother's name was being called, as he received his degree. however, i had to sit through out the ceremony while they read out all the names of the recipients.

took quite a number of photos today as well. asked my bro & sis to tag me with the photos, easier for me to upload also. heh. lazy mah... that's why.

and on the way home, there was ANOTHER accident on the lane. shucks. it was a bumpy ride, as the taxi-driver tried to switch from the current lane to another. it also resulted my sis being sick... and vomited in the end.

i realized something - i have not been to the movies for more than 6 donkey months. omg. how many movies i have missed during this period of time. frankly speaking, horror films are still my priority. sad to say, there weren't many (and scary enough) screening on the theatres. secondly, because of the price. tsk tsk. cinemas are the no.1 money-grabbers, i guess. i once told myself that it's more worthwhile waiting for the vcd to come out & rent it, rather than going out to watch it. and yes...!!! finally, a horror movie that i'm waiting to catch - final destination 4 in 3D. really can't wait though, heard that all the gore scenes will be in... which means... a REAL EXCITEMENT. ahhh. caught the last 3 instalments, they were pretty gross. lol. think they may be one of the best horror movie series in the US. anyone wanna watch together? :))

caught one of the news bulletin on channel 8. they were talking about this smile-testing machine in japan, whereby every morning workers have to sit in front of the computer to test whether their smile is passable or not. they were even graded (with marks) and the percentage that they should have reached. wah. interesting to hear that. also, the program was also used on cargo drivers to test if they were falling asleep. if found to be positive, there will be an alarm ringing to remind them. this is used to prevent accidents from happening.

my third successive post for the day. right now, i'm like... lying with my stomach down while blogging. having some random thoughts again.

i've been feeling very, very tired & sleepy for the past few months. at first, it may seems like it's because of work. but gradually, i don't think that's the case. even without that time of the month, i still experience mild stomach cramps every now and then. the doctor said that if it happened again, i got to consume the medicine immediately... if not the consequences might be very serious (such as leading to numbness etc). i can't even walk properly, and have to take long & deep breaths. somehow the problem won't go away... and to me, it has become like a time bomb. i don't know when it will happen again.

work had been fine for me... with the exception of one bloody idiot who seems to be OBSESSED with building up his happiness at the expense of the other colleagues. i bet he doesn't know the definition of the word "karma". when you want to malign someone, just think (before you do it) - the same thing will happen to you. how would you feel? you can't possibly push the blame to the others, and you yourself get away with it. it will only show that you are a person who GENERALLY LOVES to shirk responsibility. as for now, i will just do what i'm supposed to. it's useless talking to such an a******.

i wanted some time off from work. perhaps to go on a holiday?

currently there is a food fair going on @ cp. lots of food stalls selling different ethnic food. on the first day, i bought a bowl of thai fish maw soup, taiwan spicy tofu & fishball & 2 cheesy hotdogs. also, i finally get to taste the korean spicy rice cake..!! it was sticky, and a little hard though. and the hotdogs... has a thick cheesy taste. i'm simply spoilt for choices. but the fair will be @ cp till 14jul, which means i still can take my time trying out all those yummylicious treats ~~ hehe..

wth!!! juz watched the results show of american idol... and to my horror, scott got eliminated :'( i was simply in a daze. speechless. i didn't know how to react. when simon announced the verdict in a serious tone (u can imagine the usual facial expression he always gave), i was really very, very upset about it. at first, before deciding on whether to 'save' scott from getting booted off, the camera zoomed in on paula's reaction. it showed that maybe she's a little surprised too. i'm gonna miss scott's appearance on the show :( hope a record label would sign him up. i will definitely buy his album. scott may not be the best singer around, but he's an inspirational artist whose voice can touch the hearts of many people.

now waiting for my perfume to be ready ~ bought my 2nd fragrance - midnight poison EDP (first one being the glow by jlo). also bought 2 more on my bro's behalf. i'm going broke this month :( the way that i'm spending money is the same as washing hands. hais. gonna do some budget-planning again. how to use that small amount of $$... and last me until my next payday. have to watch the number of times for the withdrawal of cash. no more big amounts.

finally waited for the weekend to come. i can sleep for longer hours and waking up late :) got a class bbq to attend for tomorrow. planning to go escape theme park or a game of bowling. it's been quite some time since i last went there. hope we will be able to take lots of pictures. shall post them in facebook, if possible.

been doing lots of quizzes in facebook recently. too bored, i guess. i think i don't have the habit of staying out late. rather stay at home & be glued to my laptop. it's really like my solitary source of entertainment. went to youtube to catch episodes of antm cycle 12 online. the current season is like.. more of those plain janes & less bitching. i think the makeovers are the worst bunch of all. as compared to the past cycles, this one is totally.. disappointing. i'm glad i get to watch the episode of american idol first on star world (chn18). wasn't surprised when ryan seacrest announced that megan joy was to be eliminated. it just doesn't appeal to the audiences. no favoritism here, but i think adam lambert is getting to one of the hot favorites for the upcoming rounds of the competition. and somehow the judges' comments will affect the way audiences vote for their favorite idols. like when they gave most negative words, chances are they would not be called up first. most likely to be in the bottom three, or close to it. lady gaga's performance was splendid & enjoyable :) what a night to remember ~

i absolutely hate monday morning. think it gonna take a long time before my throat gets any better. i guess it's an infection again :( cough until my chest got a little painful, can sense that there's alot of phlegm. hais. hopefully i can recover well before the class bbq. if not, i won't be able to gobble up all the food.

been checking out the premier league website for updates on the various clubs. okay, mainly on chelsea first... of course :D initially i thought chelsea stands a good chance of claiming the title from man u, but now it seems like they're almost out of the race. esp the defeat against tottenham. what a disappointment. crucial 3 points. lost just like that. just hope that they will do much better in the upcoming season 09/10.

it's becoming a habit now that i'm relying heavily on the media for updates around the world. stays with me almost 24/7. i guess it's another alternative when u have nothing to watch on tv :)

here i am again ~ back for my second post... hehe. basically i'm just rotting at home... after returning from the trip. cos i'm too tired to do anything else. only went to unpack my luggage this morning. lol. seems that i'm bound to fall sick whenever i went overseas man. hais. when i went to phuket last year, i also had a bad case of diarrhea. kinda spoil the whole day. this time round, it was even more worse. think should be okay when i ate other seafood... until the lobster part :( when i went back to the hotel room, small patches started appearing on the outside area of my eyes. within hours, it started to swollen. and just as i was about to collect my luggage from the belt, small red spots had appeared on my foot, making it itchy. and i'm so tempted to scratch. hopefully things would turn out better for the next trip :D

woke up this morning only to find out that my cough had worsened :'( can't really make use of the time on the plane for some sleep as i was coughing all the way. to add on the misery, my head was giddy for the whole day & my leg muscles were still very sore. imagine when we had to climb all the way up again right after the rafting activity.

tomorrow's the last day of my 2-days annual leave. took 2 days straight after the holiday as i needed a good rest very badly. i doubt i can work after the late flight back to singapore (though it hadn't reached midnight). still got 2 days left to clear, which i probably will take it after the good friday holiday. maybe going for some groceries shopping tomorrow. loved to browse through the different shelves and picking out the products =D

i was very, very disappointed to find out that chelsea had failed to close up the gap on manchester united. instead, liverpool was given the lead. seems like it's a two-horse race for the title between liverpool & man u. when guus hiddink was appointed the interim manager for chelsea, there were several speculation that he's not going to make it as they couldn't believe he would be able to juggle 2 jobs at the same time. so the tottenham vs chelsea match was his first defeat of the ending season since his appointment.

i mean it when i say i like you... but you simply shrug it off. i guess some things cannot be forced. hope you are doing well over there.

came back from bali trip yesterday nite. it was a trip with happy returns indeed. took loads of photos (had to delete some to make way for the new ones), brought back some prezzies for family & friends & i was in 2nd place for the bowling game and also won 200,000 rupiahs as part of the prize money. the money came in handy as we were preparing to go for our spa & massage treatment before leaving singapore. it was my first time doing it.. and i saw many "little friends" crawling all over though :( on the first night after checking in, we planned to have our late supper at the hotel's lounge. however as we were talking, i saw 2 BIG rats crawling in a two-way manner. later on, i also saw a lizard up on the wall. wth man. is this the service of a 5-star hotel?

on the second day, we went rafting. it was kinda fun as we rode on the floating boat. however, the people kept us waiting by wasting those few hours preparing the boats. they should have done that beforehand. tsk tsk.

however on the third day, i didn't get to go to the tour with the rest as my eyes were swollen (due to the seafood dinner i had the previous night). kinda disappointed, but i did pass the camera to my colleague to help me take the pictures. as i was feeling better in the evening, i followed them for dinner & the bowling game.

and on the last day, we went for the spa & massage treatment. i almost fell asleep during the process :)

looking forward to the bali trip :) i'm preparing to go on a shopping spree over there.. hopefully i can find something nice n pretty enough for my family & friends. got quite alot to do when meeting up with my frens this coming sat. heading to vivo for the gathering and not forgetting to catch the latest thai horror film "Coming Soon". its like.. some donkey months since the last horror movie ad had appeared in the papers. so imagine my excitement when i saw the ad, i sms-ed lihui (she's my 2nd horror movie kaki.. lol) immediately to inform her. as far as i'm concerned, the last few horror movies weren't that scary. if u guys wanna catch some old horror films, i would STRONGLY recommend shutter (thai) & ju-on (jap).

i think shutter was the ONE AND ONLY horror movie that i've watched during night time. looking back, the movie was a total sold-out film. i think that's why only (and a few) some places were left for the 7pm+ time slot. almost all the people screamed during the movie.. cos some scenes can really make your heart jump out. BUT.. ju-on still top the list (my own ranking la) of my favorite horror movies of all times. yes, my friend diana (i can still remember how u imitate the cat sound n kyoko the ghost) was also the only person who can scare me out of my wits with the "sound effects" of hers from the movie itself. i can't remember whether it was before or after the film that eventually got me real scared of.. cats & the door-like creaking sound. i swear to god that whenever i saw a cat on the streets, i would definitely run far far away from it. the eyes looked sooooo eerie man. nevertheless, horror movies are still my favorite film genre (though i may use my hands to cover the eyes).

it's been quite some time since we last met up with each other. hopefully we will have a great time :)

i don't know what happened to the mcdelivery service man. first, the female telephone operator sounded like she's a amateur in answering calls. its like... she's about to use some singlish in replying to my request for the food. and then, the deliveryman looked no more than a 17-18yrs old boy. what the hell. ALSO, after i gave him $12 (ok, maybe this part i didn't hear clearly, cos perhaps he was asking if i wanted the change back or not), it seemed as though he was preparing to go off after giving me my food. i then told him, "er, i think i gave u $12?". he replied, "oh, okay". at first, i was thinking maybe he thought i gave him $11, that's why he asked me if i wanted the $0.05 change. however, after second thoughts about it, i was thinking "boy, weren't u able to feel that THERE ARE 2 DOLLAR NOTES when i gave it to u?".

i saw this article in a chinese newspaper about 5 uni guys (who patronized this japanese sushi restaurant chain) putting back their half-eaten tofu dish onto the conveyor belt. worse thing was, one of them even had the audacity to film the whole process, wearing a smirk on his face saying that this dish was very "hot" and soon after there would be someone consuming it. just then, someone (sitting diagonally across) the guys had taken the tofu dish to eat. and when they saw him taking it, they started laughing loudly as they were HAPPY that someone fell into the trap. in the end, the guy (who was filming the video) pointed the screen to himself saying that "see, in just 5 seconds, someone had already taken it!".

i was in total dismay after reading the report. my first reaction was, "what on earth were these guys thinking?". supposedly their IQ were down to zero... and beyond? that really was a very childish thing to do. such immature behaviour would only reflect on the level of mentality that they have. it's such a downright despicable action. one would wonder, "does years of studies only come to this?"

watched ytd's episode of american idol.. and to my surprise, the judges actually announced that they were gg to let tatiana come back during the wildcard round. i was like... "oh my, y is she still in the competition? she's such a dramatic person." another surprise was, von smith actually didn't went through during the first elimination. anyway, caught up with scott macintyre's performance last night. it was really good.. and his singing moved me to tears :) i can feel that he sings with alot of feelings in it, reciting his desire to be in the competition. here are the pics during his performance & results show...

had a mini gathering at hougang mall to celebrate lihui's bdae. decided to head to gelare for some ice cream. i couldn't have that on a empty stomach, so i ordered seafood with tomato sauce pasta & mushroom soup (my fav!!) instead (as my dinner). lihui suggested taking photos while waiting for our food. so we listened to her, since she's the birthday girl. and once she starts, u can't stop her. lol. oh my, that lunatic actually still exist inside the mall. i shan't elaborate on that. sigh. and also, look at the following pics to see (and know the reason) why i don't really like taking photos. damn ugly man ok.

when he first came over for training, i already started to notice him. well, maybe because of his nationality that makes me want to find out more about this person. after all, i seldom get the chance to meet so many people from different countries, but working in the same company still. it was after a month that my attraction for him had grown much more than the last time.

my friends have told me to seize the chance to tell him (weeks before that he would be going to malaysia to work). frankly speaking, he was the first person that i actually gave a hand-written card and a bookmark (with a short message as well) to, and i was trembling real hard. at that very moment, i didn't think about it too much. i knew i had to tell him, and that's what i wanted to do.

he left for malaysia today... and i would definitely miss him...

when it comes to dining at a restaurant, i can be quite picky towards the food which was being served to me. ytd, my dad & i had came across this advertisement about the dishes sold at $5.20 each (didn't rem the signboard name as i was looking at the pictures of the food only), so we decided to head down to kovan to try it out. it's located somewhere near the station, with the BIG banner hanging from the outside.

there were SEVERAL PROBLEMS during the ordering.. AND i find the waiter's attitude absolutely DISGUSTING. i don't know why the boss of the restaurant had hired a handful of workers that (i think) was around my age. is it because the wages were much more cheaper? so maybe that's why u hired them cos they're looking for a holiday job?

let me talk about the waiter FIRST. i already can't stand when his hair WAS SO BLOODY LONG. i know some may say "it's his own hair, it's up to him to do whatever he likes". but after eating at restaurants on many occasions, i had never seen a waiter with such long hair. i guess it's basic knowledge of personal hygiene that he doesn't give a damn about it. just imagine (the hair length of) paul twohill when he first entered singapore idol. also, when he came to give us the utensils, he actually said this, "liang ge ren hor?". again, many would realise that this was not the usual standard of asking the consumers. i do mind (and alot) about the "hor" word that he used. obviously he DOESN'T KNOW the proper attitude of working in a restaurant. argh.

next, i was telling my dad that.. we HAD TO EAT THE FOOD FIRST BEFORE THE RICE CAME. and mind you, the other area was closed (think it's open only at night). plus, there were around 4 waiters/waitresses. overall, the area available to dine was small. so how can the bloody rice arrive later than the dishes?

now it comes to the food. we ordered shark fins soup with abalone (which i can't really taste the latter), braised sea cucumber w/ oyster sauce, cuttlefish w/ sambal sauce (not spicy, but a little too sweet) & sambal kangkong. and u know what? i actually can point out at least one not-so-good-to-eat reason for each dish. for the soup, i can't taste the "most important" ingredient which was supposed to be in it. for the sea cucumber, it was all okay.. except for the veggies. just like the cuttlefish. as for the cuttlefish, IT WAS THE WORST OF THE WORST. the sauce wasn't that appealing, and then the cuttlefish was both HARD TO BITE AND SWALLOW. for those who tried, GOOD LUCK TO YOU. a bad case of serious indigestion. lastly, it's the sambal kangkong. when it came, i asked my dad, " can u see the kangkong anot?". it was buried under the stems. i had never seen a plate of sambal kangkong with so much stems.. and little leaves.

after the meal, i told my dad that it's going to be my first AND last time coming to the restaurant to eat. the only consolation was my can of green tea. as for the food.. the shark fins soup was not tasty enough.. but it's still okay. sambal kangkong was nice.. but way too much stems. didn't want to waste the dish of sea cucumbers, so i ate the remaining portions of it plus the mushrooms.
