went to watch money no enough 2 yesterday. i must say, it's really a good movie.. as it reflects on our daily lives affected by the current problems like ERP charges, higher cost of food prices & kinship etc. initially, the movie does have some funny moments, but it was in the midst of it that really made it the climax. frankly speaking, i cried more than four times throughout the whole film. especially when the 2nd & youngest son had put their mother (living) near the toilet & inside of it respectively, since she was diagnosed with diabetes. and their mum was crying silently while thinking of it. she even had to eat while sitting inside on the toilet bowl. another scene was how henry thia sent her mum to the old folks' home (after much discussion with his 2 other brothers). the person-in-charge told her that it was a place for old people to have fun & be happy, but when she saw that most of their faces was sad & grumpy, she immediately turned back but saw her son ran away. towards the end, jack neo's wife only cared about her seriously injured daughter & wanted the last 2 packets of blood for her child (one of them was meant for their diabetic mum). as they were quarrelling non-stop, their mum heard the commotion & decided to sacrifice herself for her granddaughter by taking off the breathing tube.when their mum was first admitted to the hospital, i started crying. the whole scenerio was just like how 3 years ago, i rushed to the hospital upon hearing that my ah ma was in a coma. the way the brothers' diabetic mum laid on the bed looked exactly like how my ah was, with tubes inserted to her body. and the sacrifices which she made for all of us.. having simple fares for herself & cooking nutritious food for we all, as well as brewing tonics for us to drink. she can only understand hokkien, so most of the times she watches the chn8 programmes only. didn't spend much time with her.. and she's always in the midst of crying while chatting with us.. :(
